Sometimes it is difficult to make something so light. Material weight is not just a question of the resources and economising on material, it is also an important topic for assembly and transport. This is why we developed the "Leichtgewicht" [Lightweight] product line. These pieces of furniture look quite massive and heavy. However, depending on the design, they weigh just 54-111kg. This is possible thanks to the use of highly-compressed fibre concrete. The fibre concrete is worked in the form of plates, it is extremely stable and weather-resistant. 90% of the material and weight are saved as compared to the same piece of furniture in massive concrete construction. This guarantees easy handling and optimal logistics. This way, four benches can be transported standing vertically on a Euro pallet. This is economical and protects the environment. It also enables applications in statically difficult areas such as roof gardens. Due to the low material thickness, the seating surfaces also adjust more quickly to body temperature. The hollow space in the benches can optionally be equipped with lighting.
